About
When it comes to the pressure of expectations, the term 'yield' can be tricky. Yielding does mean to 'give up, or give over', but it also carries the connotation of 'bearing fruit' and 'flourishing'. In order to see yield (or fruit) in our lives, what are we being invited to yield (or give up)? Yielding to the 'yoke' of Jesus invites us toward an unexpected yield in our everyday lives. This SoulWalk pathway explores the yoke of Jesus from Matthew 11:28-30 — introducing the spiritual practice of ‘yielding’. Our pathway involves three movements through the prelude to Jesus' 'manifesto' - known more commonly as 'the beatitudes'. Over three fortnights you’re invited into a series of ‘micro-retreats’ unpacking Matthew 5:2-12 - beginning with a short video, then two readings and audio reflections over each fortnight. At the end of each fortnight you’re invited to get together with your SoulWalk community to hear what others are discovering.
